Process reliability through socket monitoring.

Our software-supported socket sets provide visual guidance to the operator when selecting sockets and ensure process reliability through various modes.

Built to minimize errors.

Our Variants

The right Socketbox for every need.

Wired

The basic model—our wired Socketboxes are installed directly on the system. They connect via Ethernet/TCP-IP, Modbus, or 24V I/O. This allows the Socketboxes to be integrated into both existing production environments and various control and device architectures.

Wi-Fi

Our Wi-Fi socket boxes are battery-powered, with a battery life of up to 24 hours, making them highly versatile. This minimizes the need to walk back and forth, and the sockets are always within easy reach.

Different Modes

Our wired and Wi-Fi socket boxes have two modes. They help reduce production costs because they result in fewer breakages and malfunctions. The built-in LED indicators on these models clearly show the operator which socket is needed for each screwdriving application.

Select-Mode

The torque of the screwdriver varies depending on the selected socket.

When Select is typically used:

  • for many different variants
  • when sockets are changed frequently
  • when the process needs to remain fast
  • when the socket selection should also determine the program selection

Verify-Mode

The impact wrench can only be operated when the correct socket is selected.

When Verify is typically used:

  • for safety-critical fasteners
  • when the cost of errors is high
  • when it is essential to prevent socket mix-ups
  • at workstations with many similar tools or variants

What do the Socketboxes actually do?

Socket boxes monitor the socket that has been removed, thereby helping to ensure the safety of the assembly process. They assist in selecting the correct socket, indicate incorrect selections via LED signals, and help reduce assembly errors.

The socket boxes guide the operator through the different modes and provide clear LED signals, immediately indicating when the wrong socket has been removed. This makes socket selection safer and the entire tightening process more traceable.

There are wired network versions, wired 24V I/O versions, telescopic versions, and Wi-Fi versions. This allows you to select the right solution for stationary or more flexible applications, depending on your needs.

Depending on the model, connectivity is provided via Ethernet/TCP-IP, Modbus, or 24V I/O. This allows the Socketboxes to be integrated into both existing production environments and various control and device architectures.

Yes. The network and 24V I/O versions can be used directly with Stanley controllers. The Modbus version is also suitable for connecting to many devices from various manufacturers, and when used in conjunction with the ec-hmi, a wide range of integrations is possible.

In Select mode, the screwdriver’s torque varies depending on the selected socket. In Verify mode, the screwdriver can only be operated if the correct socket has been selected. This allows the process to be either guided or additionally locked, depending on the requirements.

Yes. In addition to wired models, there are also Wi-Fi versions with rechargeable batteries. Battery life is about 10 hours with a 2Ah battery and about 24 hours with a 5Ah battery. There is also an M12 network port for programming.

The socket boxes are available in sizes 35 and 55. The size 35 version is designed for sockets with small to medium diameters, while the size 55 version is designed for sockets with larger diameters.

For the wired models, the standard package includes a power supply, a 3-meter power cable, a 3-meter network cable, and blank bobbins. For the Wi-Fi models, the package includes a 3-meter network cable for programming and blank bobbins.

Yes. Depending on the model, brackets and mounting kits are available. For the Wi-Fi models, a carrying handle can also be ordered separately. It’s important to note that not all accessories are compatible with every model.
