Software for your assembly process.

Our ec-hmi combines fastening technology, variant information, and quality data in a single, centralized software solution. Fastening processes are visualized, controlled, and documented at the workstation—from the correct fastening sequence to the subsequent analysis of the stored fastening data.

The hmi Components

ec-hmi Control, ec-hmi Database, and ec-hmi Quality are used to control, document, and evaluate screwdriving processes. The three components work together to provide transparency for production, quality assurance, and maintenance.

ec-hmi Control

Controls and visualizes the fastening process directly at the workstation. Variants, components, and fastening sequences are clearly displayed, ensuring that the operator is reliably guided through each fastening task.

ec-hmi Database

Stores all relevant fastening data centrally or locally. Torque, angle, fastening curves, job data, and component references are documented in a traceable manner and remain available at all times.

ec-hmi Quality

Makes stored screw data analyzable. Custom filters, curve analyses, CP/CPK evaluations, and trend detection help ensure quality and identify problems early on.

Why ec-hmi?

ec-hmi helps companies make fastening processes safer, more transparent, and more cost-effective. Through guided workflows, automatic documentation, and targeted data analysis, companies can reduce sources of error, lower quality-related costs, and sustainably improve production processes. This is made possible by the functions of ec-hmi Control, Database, and Quality: controlling and visualizing fastening technology, storing fastening data, and analyzing stored data.

Variant-Based Control Automatically Selects the Right Process

In modern assembly environments, different components, variants, or orders often arrive on the same line. The ec-hmi identifies the specific variant – for example, via scanners, RFID, PLC signals, database information, or manual selection – and automatically loads the appropriate configuration.

This ensures that the correct torques, angles, screwdriving programs, work steps, inspections, and process logic are provided depending on the variant. The operator receives clear instructions, while the screwdriving process is reliably controlled and documented.

The result: fewer incorrect screw connections, consistent processes, and transparent traceability – even in complex production processes with many variants.

For which applications is ec-hmi suitable?

ec-hmi is suitable for industrial assembly areas where screwdriving processes need to be reliably controlled, monitored, and made traceable later on. The software was developed in close collaboration with the truck industry and various manufacturers of screwdriving technology.

Yes. ec-hmi is designed to integrate existing fastening technology, databases, and production systems. Depending on the environment, it can support connections to SAP, Oracle, MS SQL, PLCs via OPC, and other systems.

The software supports integration with various screwdriver manufacturers and protocols, including Atlas Copco, Bosch, Stanley, as well as SCS, OpenProtocol, and ToolsNet.

No. The ec-hmi database is based on MS SQL and can be set up centrally or decentrally, depending on requirements. This allows the solution to be adapted to different production and IT structures.

Yes. Views can be created for different user groups, such as field workers, quality assurance, maintenance, or the control room. This way, each department sees exactly the information that is relevant to their day-to-day work.

Yes. Filtered data can be exported for further analysis. This is particularly helpful when data needs to be processed, archived, or integrated into existing analysis processes outside of ec-hmi.

Yes. The ec-hmi can be deployed as a web server application. This makes it possible to make relevant views accessible to different departments within the company.

Yes, there is a special hmi email module for notifications. It allows designated personnel to be notified specifically when defined events or anomalies occur.

ec-hmi can be tailored to specific requirements with custom views and client-specific reports. In addition, the software is designed for continuous improvement.
